    Version update

At completion of system update, version update is offered. If accepted what subsequent options are offered?
That is: what version to move to. Option to refuse update.

    Re: Version update

You do not say which version you are using.

It will be offering to upgrade to 9.10.

Advice is that you should upgrade from one version to the next. So if you are using 9.04 and it offers to go to 9.10 then OK. If you are using e.g. 8.04 and it is offering to go to 9.10 - DON'T!

Every so often a new, clean install is preferable to an upgrade. All rubbish will go.You can either save everything to a USB drive, or create a separate Home which you leave and do not format.

Thanks for info - 8.04 here. Don't wish to be dumped into 9.1. Just to be clear, if I click on version upgrade there will be a subsequent step advising the version and a cancel option? In the case of a version change are there any files (apart from home) that would be useful to carry forward?

But they are saved in home too.
Usually there isn't anything outside of home that needs saving.
