I've been running Kubuntu Netbook on my netbook (duh) for a month or more now, and I just realized there's a new version of KDE that makes the netbook interface much easier to use. The problem is, I simply have no idea how to upgrade my version of KDE, and some Googling has not been very helpful. Can anyone offer me a hand, or a link to some instructions? Many thanks!

Well, it would be helpful if you told us what version you currently are using, yes?Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Re: Upgrading kubuntu netbook to the new KDE
I ried updating from kubuntu netbook 9.10 to 10.04 (Lucid alpha3) by replacing karmic with lucid in the /etc/at/sources file and then:
Code:sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
So, I just got the lucid netbook alpha iso from the daily:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu-ne...-live/current/
and installed it.
If you have /home on a separate partition all you have to do is delete all things plasma in /.kde/share/config and you are okay.
If not back up your /home before installing.
The desktop feels much more mature, but being alpha there still are a few quirks.
Hope this helps and good luckHP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)

Re: Upgrading kubuntu netbook to the new KDE
I may be off-mark here but I suspect the OP may be running Karmic with which the early netbook edition is ...ahem... experimental
However, my understanding is that the KDE netbook interface came of age in 4.4 and so he probably needs to upgrade to that.
On that assumption
