    Ugh! Sorry, but I really don't know what to say except to read the Samba documentation.

    What changed from last time it was working (Tuesday) was I did some updates in KpackageKit.

    Now KpackageKit won't install anything, saying I don't have the necessary privledges.
    I had an update for the sudo package yesterday, but I'm not sure how that would have anything to do with the topic of this thread.

    Can't use kpackagekit: Related.

    Windows 7 is not long for that machine anyway.

      I think I might have this whole thing figured out. Noticed that the wireless network was active. Reached over, turned it off, and rebooted the system. Now the Kubuntu is happily back on the network, pulling files.
