Noob: Working Wine in Kubuntu 6.06?

Anyone else having the problem where Wine installs without errors but won't show up in K Menu or won't load when used in run command
I've seen similar problems on the forum but none of the answers worked for me!?

Have you at least restarted X? (CTR+ALT+Backspace)

Then you can try removing and installing the package again.

        1) have you run winecfg?
        2) are you using it right?
        Code:
        wine /path/to/program.exe

I can run winecfg in run command but that dosen't put it in the k menubar!?
I've used it for the last year in Knoppix... is there a difference between the Knoppix and Kunbuntu version

Wine will automatically work any time you double click a windows binary, and any time you install a program that would add something to the start menu in windows then it'll appear in the K menu under a new category called 'Wine' .
