    Kubuntu crashing, completely unresponsive.

Okay, so I've been using Kubuntu for about 4 or 5 months and I love it, but the past couple days I've been having a few issues that I hope can be easily remedied.

The first issue seems to involve the whole system, randomly the computer just seems to freeze up. It is totally unresponsive. I tried ctrl +esc alt+f2 xkill and logout with ctrl +alt+del. The keyboard and mouse are useless though. I am using the latest version of Kubuntu and the programs I've added on are: FF latest version, freemind, gimp, miro, vlc, kdenlive, and wine with ff for windows and mirc.

Another issues I have is using the latest version of firefox, quite often when visiting wikipedia the browser crashes. It seems to only happen on wikipedia, but I don't know why.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you mean Lucid 10.04, it is under development, and instability/crashes are to be expected. Or are you running Karmic 9.04?
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Sorry, I meant the latest stable version being Karmic Koala.

What version of KDE are you running? 4.3.5, 4.4.0, or ...

start by looking in your log files. They're in /var/log.
