    Kubuntu USB Error

    Hello. i have just installed kubuntu and when i mount my usb stick it shows me this error

    An error occurred while loading media:/sda1:
    The file or folder media:/sda1 does not exist.

    can anz1 help me to solve this? i am using first time kubuntu and i dont know even how to run a command,so please help me

    how are you trying to mount it?

    you should just half to plug in the USB stick wate a few seconds and the device notifier should pop up and ask what you want to do with it.........is this not the case??

    on the deafault panel (task bar) the device notifier is the first icon next to the time&date

        It seems to me that perhaps the usb stick in question might not be formatted -- Try another one.

          Or run partition editor, format the USB drive, then try again.

          WARNING: formatting will ERASE any data on the USB drive.
