Getting my wireless up and running.

OK, if I can get an answer to this, I won't even need to ask further questions, because I'll be able to go online to read up.

Kubuntu is detecting local wireless networks, but I can't actually get connected (I was for a few hours, but now can't).

I'm using Kubuntu's built-in drivers to run the AWUS036H I'm using. How do I permanently activate the Realtek 8187L drivers to run? They're in an archive, and there's a bunch of scripts I don't know how to run.
