    max screen screen is 800x600, not 1920x1200 on kubuntu 9.10

    I installed kubuntu 9.10 on Acer Aspire X1800 (AX1800-E9232. Intel Core2 Quad Processor Q8200. Integrated Nvidia GeForce 7100).
    The maximum screen resolution at "System Settings, Size & Orientation" is 800x600 but not 1920x1200.
    Screen resolution can be set to 1920x1200 on Windows 7 so the hardware should be ok.
    Please help so that the maximum screen resolution is 1920x1200.

    The file xorg.conf is not found.
    $ sudo find / -name "xorg.conf"
    [sudo] password for akao:
    akao@core2quad:/etc/X11$

    These commands did not work:
    xrandr --addmode S-video 1920x1200
    cvt 1920 1200 60
