Live CD, Can't See any Text, Microscopic

Hi, I tried running the live CD of Kubuntu 9.10, everything works OK except all the text is microscopic, I can't
see anything to change any settings, I did mange to read that it had the right screen resolution under an icon
of a display, this happens with opensuse 11.2 to, Ubuntu and PC Linux work fine.

I tried changing what I thought was the resolution settings but got the old black screen and signal out of
range etc, is this just the live CD that causes this, if a driver is needed and I install Kubuntu to my hard drive would it be possible to install the driver if the desktop and all settings are unreadable. Also is there a way to reboot if things go blank or freeze when running live Cd's, thanks.

I don't use the live CD, but (for an installed system): click on the K icon on the bottom left of the panel. Search for "System Settings". Click it. Click "Appearance", then "Fonts" , then "Adjust All Fonts". Look for a checkbox labeled "size". Keep increasing the size until you can read it. You may need a magnifying glass to get started, though.

Personally, I'm surprised that the CD didn't work properly for you. Normally, if something works in Ubuntu, it will also work in Kubuntu.

Re: Kubuntu Live CD, text is microscopic, unreadable

I wonder if you can't just hit Ctrl-+ (control and plus) to make it big enough to read so you can make other changes. Ctrl-scrollwheel works too.
