Having problems with video playing in TestOut

I'm relatively new to linux, but I have not been able to find any support about this specific program. I have successfully gotten the program to run in wine, and the text lessons all work superbly. However, on the video lessons i receive an error because windows media player is (obviously) not available.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Or should I just VirtualBox TinyXP and run it there?

Dude, you do not have to install virtual box if you do not want to. There is a good guide for you to fallow which is here: http://kubuntuguide.org/Karmic

There are codecs that you need to install in order to get your windows media or any other to play. install them. That is a nice guide there is so much more that you will avoid if you read it.

    I hope that helps.
