    About the Firefox thing - that happened to me too. I got round it by opening the KPackageKit (software management), then uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox within that. After that I got Firefox in my start menu.

      Yes, at least on Windows
      have you set up your user/pass in the network manager for kubuntu?
      system settings -> Network Settings-> Network Connections under the dsl tab.
      add a new connection, and set it up accordingly.
