Switching from the "Classic" menue style to the newer one

a few weeks ago I was monkeying around in Kubuntu and switched the "K" classic menue style (the one that looks similar to XP) to a newer one that: where you press on the "k" and all the applications are under their own catagories on a page, then another page has all the system settings, and another has folders and such.

anyways, for some reason it switched back to the classic menue style and I can't find the other one. and I'm really bummed out because I liked the newer looking one.

if anyone knows what I'm talking about can I have some help please?

it's not locked, actually, I don't even have the widget option they're called "application" and "applet"

does it make a difference that it's Kubuntu installed through Ubuntu?

Asked, yet not answered - yet. What version of Ubuntu/Kubuntu are you running, and when in Kubuntu, what version of KDE?
