I have tried running the live cd 6 times now, and it has only successfully booted into linux once. The other times, it gets to the kubuntu menu, I choose option 1. It says "unpacking blah blah, ok, loading blah blah" and then goes to the big logo, starts mounting root files. that takes a while, and then when I come back it is back at the "unpacking" message. once, it brought me to a prompt that had some error about sh:ttv or something. I am running from an external drive on a cd-rw disk.
I installed the one time I was in, but upon the first restart I turned off the computer right when I saw grub (that was a bad choice, I know what it does now and everything) and since then I get a "cannot load operating system" error so I want to reinstall linux, since I am not comfortable with the CLI to reinstall just grub. So what's up with the CD?
