replies with Kmail

Can someone tell me how to correctly set up replying to emails in Kmail?

for instance - this bugs the hell out of me - when I go to reply to an email, my reply starts after all the quoted text from the email I'm replying to, instead of in front of it... so anyone who receives it must scroll to the bottom to read what I had to say about it all.

Can I change this to have my reply go BEFORE the quoted text, and/or remove the quoted text from a reply entirely?

it's the composer's templates you're looking for.
see under:
settings -> configure kmail... -> composer -> standard templates

my standard "reply" templates have:
%CURSOR
%QUOTE

btw, kmail lets you define the template you want, exactly the way you want it.
and for each identity, folder, etc...

it can hardly get more flexible than this...

Ah ok - good to know, I'll check that out.

I do appreciate the amazing flexibility of Kmail - I really like it and use it for all my events, activities, etc.

Thanks for that! It was annoying the hell out of me too... I was getting in the habit of paging up to get the cursor above the quoted text. Definitely saved me from early carpal-tunnel
