    Gigabyte motherboard drivers

    Hi!
I want to install Kubuntu on my PC, bu there's big problem. Gigabyte's support answered they do not provide drivers for Linux for their motherboards (or at least for mine). In fact, I'm writing from Kubuntu, but my hardware has some good stuff ("Efficient Energy Saver" or sth like that, simply it adjusts fan speed and so on) that's not used by drivers on live CD. So, is there any way to get full-efficient drivers? My motherboard is EP43-... (i can check it precisely if it's important!)
    Hope you'll help me. :-)

well the only way to get the drivers as they are for windows would be if Gigabyte wrote them or provided chip specs to the community , you could always call them and ask them to provide these for you, but chances are they wont. if you can find out what chips are on your board you can search the net and see if there is a special driver for them that supports the items you want.
