1366*768 and 1240*768 jump out as incorrect...

Surprisingly There were no conflicts with those resolutions, just VERY small.
1366*768 is in the manual for the TV as Max resolution for the LCD panel and I don't think it would accept 1280x1024 as 768 seems to be the max hight for the TV in PC mode.
Though 1920x1080i is available through the HDMI inputs, which I shall try when I get a new Graphics card with HDMI output.

Keeping the refresh rate at 60 was a reference to using the cvt command to generate the mode line. I suppose it will be a bit of trial and error to find what works best. The identifier (what's between the double quotes) in the mode line can be anything as long as the mode line identifier matches the identifier used in the Screen section. If your monitor supports a non standard resolution I would think you could generate a mode line for it and use it. If it doesn't work I'd only be guessing why it's failing.

If your manual says it will do 1366x768 with a refresh rate of 75 you can try to generate a mode line with "cvt 1366 768 75" instead of using 60. The third number is the refresh rate.

I think I'm going to keep what I have now without any more changes as I am VERY happy to be using the selections I have now. For those of you reading this post, any of the issues that seem unresolved with how I currently use Nvidia X server settings and KrandRtray, will have to research or start new posts as I'm locking this post @ 62 posts so it can be used by future Kubuntu noob's to reasearch xorg.conf problems.
