I was doing my normal update via synaptic when I got this message and a request to report it as a bug, which I did, but it was supposed to have already been fixed. I searched these forums and the work around consensus was to force an over-write which I tried but failed because the file was not in the archives. I also tried various apt-get commands to no avail. Synaptic won't let me update until I get this broken package fixed. I feel like I'm in a catch-22

Re: kdebase-runtime error
kdesudo is the graphical window that allows you to enter your password to do administration tasks. According to the error message, that program is now in two different packages. Presumably, if you uninstall kdesudo and then install kdebase-runtim, you'll keep that program anyway.

Re: kdebase-runtime error
kubuntu-desktop is a meta package, meaning it will install all the items needed for the "kubuntu-desktop". how ever removing a meta packages only removes the meta package it self. so you will still have a guiMark Your Solved Issues [SOLVED]
