Remove AVI file from Desktop

Have tried to remove an AVI File from kubuntu Desktop

Empty Trash can does not work

Tried .home/ma/.local/share/trash

Error The Trash has reached its maximum size clean the Trash manually

Stubborn AVI File just will not delete from Desktop

find the file and highlight it......(hold down ctrl key and click the file.)

now hold down the shift key and press delete key.

a window will pop up asking if you shure you want to delete the file ....hit enter.......good by file

Thank you indeed for the instructions to remove that AVI file
File now gone from Kunbutu desktop
Being in root should have found away to delete this AVI file
I had used usb copy VCR tape of Air show The resulting video ISO burnt with K3b produced an excellent DVD disk now playing on home DVD player
