task bar not showing open application [Solved]

hi,

i right clicked on the task bar and thanks to this laptop mousepad.. i don't know which option got selected from the pop up menu..
but now.. when i open any application(s) it is not displayed in taskbar.
when i press "alt + tab" i can see the open apps box at the middle of screen..

can anybody tell me how to undo this stupid problem..

Can I take a guess that you have in fact deleted the taskbar? It's easy to do with a right click if you have widgets unlocked.

To restore right click on the panel and select either unlock widgets and then (or most likely instead) panel options. Then select add widgets. A box will appear. You need to select the task manager widget and then select add widget at the bottom of the box. Your taskbar will be restored. Then right click on the desktop and select "lock widgets". Done.
