I cannot boot : problem with memtest86

I installed kubuntu 9.10 on my Asus eepc 900a about 1 week ago and it was working fine. today I turned it on and it automatically started memtest86 2.11 (i did not even know it was installed). It finishes the test with no error but no way to start the OS, it always go back to the test. I tried to look at the BIOS settings but there is no memtest option? what should I do? thanks

you probebley have grub2 instaled for the boot loader .

try holding down the shift key wile starting the box and see if you get a menu .

if you do select the OS and hit enter.

if not try the esc key .......grub uses that to get to the menu.

drs305 tells you in Grub 2 how to turn Mentest off (in the boot menu) and how to see your boot menu each time:
