    Keyboard not working in KDE

I'm afraid I've really messed up this time and will explain as best as I can...

I installed some software which I later decided to remove...but clearly I did something wrong as I could see various bits of KDE being removed including KDM

I therefore reinstalled as many things as I could before I left Adept and rebooted...

Got back in but all my plasmoids had changed to red x's, I had lost Adept, KPackage Kit and the system settings module

And I have no minimise or maximise buttons

Perhaps worst of all, my keyboard doesn't work in any KDE app. It only works for external apps like OpenOfiice or the Firefox browser I am using now

I couldn't even get it to work in terminal and had to do a reboot and console login and install Adept and System settings from their

But once I log back in to Adept, I am prompted for a sys admin password which I cannot input as my keyboard doesn't work!

    So. I'm stuck!!

Is there any commands you can give me to run via console login so I can reinstall whatever files I am missing

    Thanks in advance

    Raaj
