Install flash player

I have Kubuntu Feisty - How do I install a flash player to watch you tube videos etc? I always get the KDE plugin wizard pop up to install Macromedia flash player 9. But when I click install i get the error message:

'the file or folder http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get...9_linux.tar.gz does not exist"

This is probably because the plugin wizard is looking for an old version of the flash player. You should try installing the package flashplugin-nonfree

Thanks for the link - Sadly, in there it says enable multiverse repository, which I think I have done (theres a cross next to it)
then it says - Install the package flashplugin-nonfree. But it doesn't say how??

open a konsole (from your k-menu)
[code=run in konsole]sudo apt-get install flashplayer-nonfree[/code]
remember to use tab to accept the agreement (if asked)

This is what I get:

check your package manager (kpackagekit or synaptic) and edit the sources (look in settings) and be sure to enable the universe and multiverse repos then try again

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

Mine has "Adept manager" is that the same thing?? When Im in it, I click adept>manage repositries then it has 5 lines:

x Canonical supported open source software (main)
x Community maintained open source software (universe)
x Proprietary drivers for devices (restricted)
x Software restricted by copyright or legal issues (multiverse)
x Source code

Should they all have the x's or not?

PS. I tried the other sudo command and got the same error message.

Try this

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

Very true, unfortunately. There aren't any repositories for Feisty anymore so it is pretty much impossible to download and install any extra software via Adept
