This is my first new post and I'm a newbie to Kubuntu. I've installed the VI Client for my ESX 3.5 server after reading loads of posts/forums and got around the http/https redirection.
I get the login screen for VI Client to connect to my ESX 3.5. I put http://<ESX 3.5 IP>, root/password.
The inventory loads up and I can see the Window for ESX server with server name at the top but I get the message:-
VM Infrastructure Client could not establish a connection with the server "ESX IP".
Details: The server took too long to respond.
I have further read posts where people have advised to restart the mgmt service on the ESX server. I have done this but still I'm getting the same error message and cannot connect.
I'm using Kubuntu 9.10
uname -a : Linux ubuntu 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:04:26 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
Please let me know what else is needed for you guys to help me out.
