    showing files on the desktop panel

    Hope this makes sense;

    I have some files I copied over to Kubuntu from a Windows computer on my home network. These are files that I use periodically and are spreadsheets, and word processing files.

    I'd like to have them show up on my Kubuntu desktop (ver 9.10) on the "desktop" panel... as currently they're located in a directory I created under my home directory.

    Can someone please explain how I can do that?

    thanks!

    Best way is to create a link to the folder they are in for one click access to them.

    Right click on your desktop and select new/link to url and navigate to the folder.

    A cooler idea is to right click and unlock widgets.

    Then right click on the panel and select panel options/panel settings and click the add widget button. Select the quick access widget and then place it where you want on the panel. Then Lock widgets.

    Right click on the icon to select it's properties. Give it the appearance you like and set the destination folder. Watch what happens when you click it!
