Is it possible to save and import your own desktop settings?

I've used a good while customizing the desktop exactly how I like it; fonts, colors, effects, wallpaper, and etc. I have written down everything which I've done, but it would've been so much easier to export all my desktop configurations as a theme or a file; so if I need to reinstall my system or add new users, I can only import the settings. Is this possible in KDE/Kubuntu?

The 'quick' answer is 'yes - to a degree.' There is an application (KDE) that allows you to package Themes based on what you have put together - IIRC.
