Hey everyone I'm new to kubuntu and have most of what I need working. However the audio isn't working on my HP mini 1000. Could use some help getting it to work.

Welcome!
Sound problems can be a lot of things. Sometimes it's as easy as turning it up in your mixer. Check out KMix and make sure pcm is turned on.

try also tp check to activate your audio driver in system and then choose driver hardware?? i think it was and look if everything its activated
