Wubi windows install

hello!!! i just wanted to know if the wubi version should function at max? I'm currently using windows vista unfortunately, but I'm thinking to download kubuntu's karmic koala in 3 days, i downloaded the wubi windows install, and this thing is awesome, but it did run a little slow, and spent a lot of battery, (i have a netbook, the acer aspire one, with the 200 and something on hard drive and 2 gigs on ram, it's the new one) my question is,, would i need to download a version for netbooks or, since my netbook came with vista, should i be able to run the regular version??

You are absolutely right, running via Wubi is really suboptimal. It is great for trying it out, but not for a long term solution.

I would go with the regular Kubuntu, in two days Karmic (9.10) will be released. I strongly suggest waiting for it (it fixes some flaws in the previous release, 9.04). There is a netbook edition in the works but it is still a work in progress, to be stabilized for Kubuntu 10.04.
