How to upgrade from firefox 3.0 to firefox 3.5 plz help(solved)

Hi i got a prob i just dont know how the #&%$ to update firefox 3.0 to firefox 3.5 any help thanxs (by the way when i play a video on youtube no sound comes out hope the update fixs it)

ok this is my prob i wrote sudo apt-get install firefox-3.5 and it installed and when i go to firefox and about it says i got version 3.0 wtf?? i dont understand i install it again and it says its already installed and no need i dont get it...

firefox and firefox-3.5 are installed side by side. You will need to create a new menu entry for firefox-3.5 to start it

You can install it from the repositories by running

This will install and it will show in the menus as Preview Browser (or Shiretoko)

ok i got running my shiretoko browser already thanks but my prob now is that when i try to put a video on youtube no sound comes out and is not my sound device cause i can play mp3 music on the armok or whatever and i check if the sound is on or not and it is wtf?? help!!!! is it something to have with 32 o 64 bit? how can i know what version of kubuntu i have 64 o 32?

If you have a 32-bit CPU, you can only be running a 32-bit version of Kubuntu. If you have a 64-bit CPU, you could be running either version of Kubuntu.

Open a console and type:

uname -a

You'll get output similar to this (mine):

Linux laptop 2.6.28-16-generic #55-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 20 19:48:24 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

The i686 indicates a 32-bit kernel (Kubuntu 32-bit (Jaunty) in my case).

What kind of audiosystem do you have ?
Is the audio working with the other applications ?

If you download a flash video from the YouTube can you play it with the sound ?

yeah i got the flash player cause i can play the video but not hear it, although i can play sound with any devices i can put music on armok or any other **** like play videos with dragon player...but not in youtube...i dont got shockwave but ill install it now

OK look i got schockwave flash plugin installed on firefox 10.0 r32 or thats at least what it says audio works amarok at least...and all the others but not for firefox...****..
