KDE 4.3 has a widget that displays desktop icons for starting up apps. Can I create a second folder so that I can setup a second set of .desktop files without modifying the first one?

Re: Second "esktop" widget
Is there a way to hide the .desktop extension? When I tested this and created another folder, the name.desktop is visible instead of just the name.
Testing:
Making a "New Link to Application" => Test.desktop
Renaming: Test.desktop => Test
Check:
Code:kfile /home/rog/Templates/Test
/home/rog/Templates/Test: Desktop Config File (application/x-desktop)Before you edit, BACKUP !
Why there are dead links ?
