    Recording voice with Sound Recorder

I should like to record my voice using my Microsoft Live Chat LX3000 headset with microphone.
I tried Sound Recorder, but the result is an awfull sound.
The headset is set as default (top) in System Settings Multimedia.

Is there any easy way to record my voice, eventually with different software as Sound Recorder?

    Thank you ,

    Toran

Why don't you check out Audacity... Try it out and see if it fits your needs...

I use the "qarecord" (sudo apt-get install qarecord) and it works fine.

Arecord is the ALSA recorder which is probably built in.
        Code:
        man arecord

It will be easy for you to try all these suggestions. Audacity and qarecord are in the repositories and arecord is part of the alsa-utils package. So, you don't need to go to the getdeb site to get Audacity.
