    mobile broadband

    hi i have just installed kubuntu after using ubuntu 9.04 now i,m having problems with connecting my 3 mobile dongle any suggestions. Would it be possible to get configured settings from my other ubuntu machine then edit them in the terminal plz help

    You could try that.

    look at /etc/network/interfaces and other files in /etc/network (depends on the mobile device and how it connects)
    copy them to your Kubuntu Jaunty
    If you are dual booting you can mount the Ubuntu partition using sudo in a terminal and copy the text using an editor such as nano.

    Another possibility is trying network-manager (which is gnome, used in Ubuntu Jaunty) instead of the kde-widget.

    apt-get install network-manager
    will take care of removing and installing dependencies for you.
