    help!

    Hi guys ,
    i recently installed 9.04 with kde 4.3 package. I am facing some very odd problems:-
    1.My speakers dont play any meaningful sound all tht i hear is like some beebs irrespective of playing any audio or not >.

    2.My comp doesn perform a shutdown when i click the shutdown option nothing happens nothing works including restart,hibernate i either have to go to sleep then when i wake up log out of my account and then in the main login window place i have to select shutdown, or else i just try to shut down from konsole !!!!

    3.I am using a hp dv4 1421tx laptop and have a fingerprint reader tried searching for the drivers on net but only got the sdk !!!!! Can someone please help out with findin the drivers

      I didnt actually understand how do you add pci=noacpi as a boot option
