KMAIL, HOW DO I ATTACH A URL?

How do I attach web site URL in the message body on Kmail. Other email programs it's just a matter of pasting the URL and it highlights in Blue and the recipient just clicks on it to be directed to the URL .
Doesn't seem to do this on KMAIL.
    Can't find a setting anywhere

It works that way in my KMail. What version of Kubuntu are you running?
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

I don't use Kmail but the function of highlighting a URL as a link is html. Perhaps Kmail is set to do plain text right out of the box - it certainly should be! However, I'm sure it's configurable - look for html / plain text. In fact, I looked it up for you:
6.14 KMail doesn't display HTML mail as HTML, I can only see the source.
Select Folder->Prefer HTML to plain text.
I got that from the FAQ in the manual:

My setting was set to HTML, but it doesn't seem to may any difference when pasting a web site URL into the message pane >

Have you tried sending the message to yourself?

On my end, the urls aren't clickable on the new message window, but when I inspect the sent message in the sent folder (or view a message sent to me) URLs are highlighted and clickable.

In later versions of Kmail you need to highlight the text you want to link and click the "Link" icon.
