Search on The "Rip" config tab and you find:
Disable paranoia — If this option is checked, Grip will disable cdparanoia's verification system. This will make ripping approximately twice as fast, but can result in errors. Unless you are very confident that your drive is rock solid, it is recommended that you do not select this option.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
