how do i reserve memory for a program and how do i defrag

i want to reserve more memory for klauncher specifically since i have about 1.5 GB to spare and klauncher is a little too laggy

You don't, really. Linux will use your available memory far more efficiently than Windows ever did -- sparing you the need to "manage" it.

There is almost no chance that you need to defrag any time in the next 5 years of using your system.

well kde is to slow and i wouldnt mind sacrificing a little more memory to it

"KDE is slow" may be limited to a video driver issue. You'll have to post all the details of your hardware before anyone can help you with that kind of thing.
