I am on 8.04. I just bought microsoft optical desktop 1000. It came with windows software but I want to use it on Kubuntu. I have a dual boot win2000 install as well as wine but am hoping there is kubuntu software to get it working. Help appreciated.

Hi,

Have you tried it? Most likely you don't need any additional software. Things work different in Linux, the drivers are distributed with the operating system, not with the vendor CD.

It works ok but probably some keys don't work. Just tried f7 and no effect.

what was F7 suposed to do?

I think you can assine key binding's in system setings!

First of all, you are welcome. I think Vinny is right, you can configure key bindings in System Settings.
