Are there any tutorials for absolute beginners out there?sics
realy very basic stuff, maybe a movie a can load on a offline pc?

My dad is working with ubuntu and as its his first pc ever, he has to learn allot

Just for the record, there is a Ubuntu training course (yeah...this is not KDE but you can learn basic Ubuntu / Linux stuff). This website below contains the learning material of the course, which you can downloan for free.
