lately i had a change of heart and i want to use an all-in-one media player like vlc/mplayer/kmplayer/the kmplayer (not the same as kmplayer), but i am constantly working with quicktime and real media files/embeded streams so i found out that vlc (which is the most popular one) isn't quite good at that (i haven't tried the others so tell me if they're better than vlc). does any of you know any good media player that could really do it all ?
second of all, i found a good alternative for yahoo! messenger, and that's gyachoo! messenger, a fork of the old gyach (i know the other two forks gyache - gyach enhanced and gyachi - gyach improved but they are very ugly and difficult to work with), it has all the other features of yahoo messenger plus some ingenious extra features. i got the .deb file and i installed it but nothing happens. i would really appreciate any help on this because i totally hate multi protocol/multi account/multi watever messengers like kopete, pidgin, aim etc....you can get the .deb file here: http://ftp.brawijaya.ac.id/linux/lin...enger/gyachoo/ i installed the dependencies libltdl, libgpgme6, libmcrypt4, libgtk2.0-0, ibgtkhtml2-0 and it still won't work.
