    [Solved] Backup from LiveCD

I accidentally messed up my system where it won't boot. I want to back up my data through a LIVECD but i don't know how to do it because when i get access to my hard drive it marks my user folder and my wife's user folder as user only, which means i can't get into it to back up my photos or email. Is there anyway i can unlock those folders through the terminal in the LIVE CD? If so, what commands must i user so i can gain access and backup to my flash drive. Thanks.

Note: I believe my hard drive is labeled as sda1 but it lists it in Dolphin as VolumeExt4 which is the very last tab on the left.

[SOLVED] As noted below, using the command 'kdesudo dolphin' solved the problem and I was able to get into the home folder of all users and do a proper backup. Thanks for the help.

    Re: Backup from LiveCD

From the live CD, could you open Dolphin as root, then work from there?

    Konsole
    kdesudo dolphin

    (or kdesu dolphin)

    Can you fix the booting?
Or, perhaps try Super Grub Disk (live CD) to boot into the OS?

Or, if it is a GRUB/Windows issue, manually fix things (the booting) using
