make vlc default player

not new to ubuntu but somewhat inexperienced with kde4
In kde4 how do i set vlc as the default player when inserting a dvd? Or at least have it as an option that comes up with kaffeine. I very much dislike kaffeine.

I already have it set for default player when clicking on a video, I need to know how to set it for dvdrom.
