    Trash Can cannot be open

    Hi

    Another problem :

When I try to send something to the trash can, it says that it is full and to clean up manually.

If I try to open the Trash can it says "URL not well formed trash:/"

    Why??

    Thanks

What tells (> FAQ: Free Disk Space):
    Code:
    df -h -T
    Are there full partitions ?

How about if you delete files from the:

    ~/.local/share/Trash/files/
    and
    ~/.local/share/Trash/info/

and if you have more than one partition there should be hidden directories at every partition:
    /.Trash-1000/files/
    and
    /.Trash-1000/info/

With Dolphin, you can simply right-click the trashcan that appears in the upper left of the window, for whatever partition you are looking at.

        Hi Rog131

        df command tells this:

        tmpfs tmpfs 2,9G 0 2,9G 0% /lib/init/rw

          what happens when you type
          Code:
          trash:/
in dolphin's location bar and hit enter?

just a FYI holding shift and hitting delete will bypass the trash can and permanently delete the selected files or DIR. 8)

Re: Trash Can cannot be open

If you don't want to clean the Trashcan by deleting the files from the ~/.local/share/Trash/ there are (should be) the (plasmoid-) Trashcan settings

Take the limit off or add the maximum size.

              Hi Vinny

This open the content of trash and I can see what's on it.
But by the icon, still can't open.

Re: Trash Can cannot be open

right click the trash can icon in dolphin then click edit and make shure the location line is just

                Code:
                trash:/
                and nothing elce.

and you should be abel to empte it if you can open it in dolphin and press ctrl>a and then shift>delete
