    Qualcomm Vodafone 3 G USB Dongle

    Hello all

    I hve just installed Kubuntu and feeling my way around, tis scary man after all these years of windows dependancy, I am no techno fundi, no nothing about scripts, commands, roots etc, i just want a system that will boot up and run can anyone plz advise as to how i get my 3g usb dongle to work in kubuntu, i hve been thru posts etc, as a not inclined person to commands etc i find myself totally lost . pleeeeeeeez help.thx

    It may give you some clues.

    You need to ID the actual wifi chip, in order to know what driver you need. I'd say research your Qualcomm Vodafone model# and see if you learn whether it is a Broadcomm or Atheros or what, and then that will point you toward the driver module that needs to be loaded.
