Install Firefox?

I have tried to install firefox based on something I found online but it doesn't appear to have worked.

I used the following code

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get firefox

Any ideas please?

Why don't you wait to be installed as a kubuntu update?
I don't know if firefox 3.5 is in the repositories yet...

You are quite welcome.

I think the version of firefox 3.5 that is currently in the repos is a beta version.

You could manually download it and install it from getfirefox.com.

1. Download the file from the site to your user's home directory.

2. Run: tar -jxpvf firefox-3.5.tar.bz2

3. Add a shortcut or run from a console or run dialog (alt+F2): ~/firefox/firefox

Or you can wait until the final 3.5 hits the repos.
