One of the reasons why I like Kubuntu is the almost endless ways you can customize your desktop environment. Is there an easy way to change the look of the logon screen?

Re: Logon Screen
If you mean the splash screen, try this
Kmenu > System Settings > Look & Feel > Appearance > Splash Screen
Get New Themes will allow you to install new themes but see this post

Re: Logon Screen
Good Mornin
When you open Login Manager, it pops up a little dialog box which asks for your password. If you had a lot of windows open, it might have gotten put behind something. Also, if your account isn't set to allow administering the system, you probably won't get to mess with the login manager. But I think you would at least see the dialog box. Hope this helps.

Re: Logon Screen
Oh, Hey, this might be it:
On the first page of the Login Manager, there's a check-box labled "Use Themed Greeter". If that box is left checked, a lot of the features are ghosted - not available to change. Uncheck that box, and see if it starts to behave the way you want.
