Ohh Kubuto looks good im in But Sound isnt working!

Hi all
Hope someone can help a newbie with this. I succesfully installed Kubuntu! However The system sounds work But it will not play MP3 files > Now as a bit of a newbie if you have some ideas I need to be spoon fed sorry. However I will appreciate a good answer.

Try going into the package manager (KPackageKit) or get Adept and search for 'mp3', you should be able to find a fairly wide selection of mp3 players that you could use!

If you're having a sound issue go into Konsole and start 'alsamixer' (just type 'alsamixer'), and make sure that none of your volume bars are inadvertently muted.

Thanks for the advice however that PC is a standalone and doesnt have connectivitey to the internet so I cant update any places I can get them?
