Kubuntu does not detect my DVD-RW drive

I'm not able to see the DVD-RW on Dolphin so I assumed that the device was not detected. So I tried to mount it manually

After entering ~$ sudo mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 I got

mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

Here's what fstab looks like -

I've browsed around a bunch and have seen others having similar issues but couldn't find a solution.

dolphin's weard.

my fstab look's just like yours and I have a lighton DVD-RW superallright.

strangley enuff a blank cd/DVD dosent showup at all when put in but a disk with somthing on it will pull up the device notafyier aplet/widget/watever and let you open in dolphin.

if it is a blank cd open k3b and it will show thare.
