Blocked updates [solved]

My Software Updates page presently looks like that. It didn't this morning before I tried to install the updates. When I did try to install the updates it told me that there was an error in the backend, details were that I needed to fork.

What's happening, why and how can I get it to install the updates?

Yes, this is annoying like hell.

I solved running these from the terminal:

sudo aptitude update

sudo aptitude full-upgrade

Or you might as well install adept. Kpackagekit seems to be doing these blocks every now and then, for some reason.
