Cant install Kubuntu

Hi all, i am new to kubuntu and would like to try it out so i made a cd with the latest version about a month ago and tryed to install it. The problem is that it is very difficult to read the screen. On the screen to pick language i hi-lite english but the button to click OK is not visible on my monitor, even pressing the enter button does not work. I have tryed to reposition the desctop position but this does not work.
I have a standard 17" monitor, dont know the version of kubuntu.

Any clues??

When you first see the screen, before you do anything else, press F4 which should give you "Safe Graphics" mode.

Now we know that your graphics card is going to give the default display system some trouble. So, if you decide to install Kubuntu, you need to do a little bit of research in advance, and learn which driver will work on that graphics chip.

With the Live CD running, if you open the Konsole and enter

lspci -vv

you will find all the information about the graphics chip, as it is seen on the PCI bus. Use that to search on this forum and Ubuntu Forums, and see what other folks have used to set up their display.
