    Re: youtube using konqueror

Konqueror is able to use the same Flash plug-in as Firefox.

You can install Adobe Flash plug-in by entering this command in a Konsole terminal

    Code:
    $sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin
You will be asked for your password. Type in the same password you use to login to Kubuntu and press the enter key.

Edit: If the above command produces an error, copy and paste the full output to a new post in this thread.

If you still have problems with Flash in Konqueror, see the thread No YouTube in Konqueror for some possible work-arounds.

      Re: youtube using konqueror

As the "Telengard" told you need the few bits & pieces.

      Short: konqueror + konqueror-nsplugins + flashplugin-installer

      Long:

Package konqueror-nsplugins - Netscape plugin support for Konqueror
This package enables Konqueror to use Netscape plugins, such as Flash.
Package: flashplugin-installer - Adobe Flash Player plugin installer
This package will download the Flash Player from the net. It is a
Netscape/Mozilla type plugin. Any browser based on Netscape or Mozilla can
use the Flash plugin. This package currently supports the following browsers:
Mozilla, Mozilla-Firefox, Firefox, Iceweasel, and Iceape. Also Galeon and
Epiphany can use the Flash plugin. Konqueror can also use the Flash plugin if
      konqueror-nsplugins is installed.
After the installation if you type at the konqueror: aboutlugins it should tell:
      Plugin Description File
      Shockwave Flash Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22 flashplugin-alternative.so

Also: Konqueror > Settings > Configure Konqueror > Plugins

Other options (useful packages to me):

kubuntu-restricted-extras - Commonly used restricted packages
This package depends on some commonly used packages in the Kubuntu
      multiverse repository.

Installing this package will pull in support for MP3 playback and
decoding, Java runtime environment, Flash plugin, DVD playback, and LAME
      (to create compressed audio files).
konqueror-plugins - plugins for Konqueror, the KDE file/web/doc browser
This package intalls a variety of useful plugins for Konqueror, the
file manager, web browser and document viewer for KDE. Many of these
plugins will appear in Konqueror's Tools menu.

These plugins are not part of the official KDE4 release, they are a
      development snapshot of extragear software.
