Well, after a nice fresh install, I've only come across one annoyance. I'm currently on an nvidia geforce 8800gts which supports several resolutions yet I'm only to select about 5 in the system settings. I've tried to use Envy to install my drivers; installed drivers, resolution problem still persists. Tried editing the xorg.conf file, no dice. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Also, if I change the resolution to something other than 1680x1050 or 800x600, I get a big black space, either on the sides or top/bottom.

A trivial question: What are the characteristics of your monitor? It may be that some of the things that you can do with the card, don't work with that monitor.
If you'd like, please attach a copy of your xorg.conf file, (unless it's one of those new style blank ones), and someone here will take a look at it.
